Sometimes people refer to someone as being a gay person but not meaning that you fancy/love the same gender. They sometimes do it as a comeback. Ignore them, and show them what you are made of, they will soon get bored.

Exactly what Kaiora said. A lot of kids use the word "gay" as an insult, excessively. I wouldn't really take it personal, they're just not very good at coming up with clever insults.

And ignoring them should do the trick, there was a kid in my homeroom last year, and everyone thought he was gay and constantly made fun of him. He just ignored them, and they lost interest.
