Just do the tutorial it will teach you most of the stuff you need to know.

Go to www.runescape.com and create a new account (you can't miss it) and then click 'Play Runescape'. Choose the quality, and then the world (it doesn't matter which one you choose). After that, sign into your account and you will be at Tutorial Island and follow the steps from there

Yeh read the tutorial and remember the arrow keys to switch the camera view coz when i first joined i didnt change the camera so i kept going upto trees and cutting them!

Seriously that's what tutorials island is there for.
Lol I tryed to get my noob up to really high level on tutorial island but your levels stop going up after a while. like at level 3 for each skill
