They don't want him released from prison to do it again.
The reason why he got so many life sentences if because he had already commited a few crimes and was thrown into prison, then as soon as he got out, he robbed 29 banks without being caught till recently. He's also 30 - 35 so I don't think he'll be out of prison for a long while.
