What is this proposal about?:This is a proposal to replace the reputation system. (It's common (In VB forums and isn't unique) and I think it causes more trouble than it's worth).
My proposal is to change to my new *Star System*

Star System?!: Star System?! What the hell is that? I'm sure you're all thinking that, right? Well carry on reading and you'll find out.

Can't people just disable their reputation?: Sure they can, but where is the fun in that? People recieve bad reputations and yes, they can be removed but it's hella' annoying and so on and I think this would be more 'fun' to the members at Habbox forum.


Okay, well the *Star System* is a bit like the repbar under your username... You know the Green little points that fill in as you get post. I want to replace them with stars! (I'm sure you're thinking now, "Stars! Wth is this due on?!") Well yeah, I'm on coke... [Sips coke through straw] xP

What you would do to gain a star is reach a certain amount of posts and then you would gain certain features like be able to edit a custom username, be able to ask for a name change. (Of course, if you're VIP you can just ask to have it changed anyway). xP

1nd Star: 50 Posts
2nd Star: 100 Posts
3rd Star: 150 Posts
4th Star: 250 Posts
5th Star: 350 Posts
6th Star 500 Posts

Reward after collecting a full set of blue stars: Able to have a custom avatar/signature.

Single Green Star:

A Set of Green Stars:

I like the idea, it is well thought and nicely presented But one problem, It would encourage people to spam a lot more than usual.

It is based on posts.. while rep contributes with join date etc.

Well, it's only a rough idea... Nothing too planned out or anything.

Great Idea, Well planned out. But I doubt it'll replace the Reputation system. Also as Infrontation said, its only based on posts and isnt really like Rep, so alot more people would be spamming just to get more, As Xuzuno said.

Yeah, I was trying to incorprate a way to 'giving someone a good rep' to increase the star by a certain ammount and then it slowly fills up... But that sounded stupid...

I agree that it's a good idea, but as pretty much everyone else said it's only based on posts and would probably encourage people to spam more.
