Its hard when a boy acts like this because he's not exactly making it clear on his feelings for you.
If you just start flirting with him and change and he doesnt like you - you'd make a massive fool of yourself, so you cant do that.
Leave it a while and see how things develop, if he keeps giving more signs, you give more signs that you like him.
But if your friend is still upset about this boy, you need to choose which is best - friendship. or risking it whether a boy likes you or not.
