hi everybody

i need help
i am sorta intermediate at php and mysql

but i was wondering, and i have never ever come across, how to create an email service, using squirell mail or horde mail, or a custom mail service, is there any tuts i cud follow to make a mail service, e.g, register and ur email gets created at lets saying @habboiscool.com

e.g

Register
u click,
enter ur detials , username pass n al tht
it registers ur mail with 50mb n all tht
then u can login and check ur mail n tht

ne ideas how to do that

Hey,

The whole conception would be simple, yet tricky the actual e-mail registration would be easy without automatic setup yet would have to maintain lots of security.

Such as storing all data into MySQL Databases and have reliable hosting and bandwith as well as lots of email storage.

The main issue would be security and to be honest I have seen a few companies try and do this and basically fail due to the three big ones Gmail, Hotmail, MSN.

You could use shell commands in your PHP script to create email accounts.

Have a look at imap www.php.net/imap

I had a go at this but I couldnt work out how to decode the base64 ^_^
