I put yes but not to hard.
I think it's okay for parents to hit their children on the bottom or something if they've done something bad, because it teaches them not to do it again, because if they did, they'd get another telling off. But I think child abuse is the most awful thing probably in the world. The people who child abuse should get a hard whipping themselves, see how they like it.

    Yes but not to hard.
if a parent cannot get through a child by having a 1 on 1 convosation, then i guess you'd had to hit them gently, to make them think that your not going to be that gentle next time coming.

No, it's unacceptable to hit children. My dad hits me lightly when we have random play fights, but that's it ;]

    No.

Loose cannons who get mad too easily shouldn't have children if they're just going to hit them. I used to get hit, and trust me, it's not a good thing.

And it could make them safer. A slap on the wrist could make little kids stop playing in the street.

I don't think it's right that parents should hit their children. Personally i think somehow they should try and put a stop to it. :@

In my opinion - I'm ok with the prospect of smacking children on the hand or bum. I used to be smacked when i was younger, and it has done me a lot of good - i'm not a yob or a thug and I'm glad i'm not like that. It's coz of the hard discipline that I've not turned out for the worst. And I want to have the same discipline prospects for my child. True it will hurt and they'll cry - but they learn their lesson that way.

And if anyone is against what I just said, I ain't changing my mind about it.
