Mario Kart DS

How are you meant to do the rocket start at the beggining. I have all the mario karts and i can do it on all but the DS version. So now i have to be a looser and only do 50 cc beacause I cant do the others beacause that rocket start is the solver of all problems. Well i have done 100 cc all gold but not 2 stars. Please help

Right before the "Go!", you press and hold the A button and you should have the boosty-start.

I know, it's kind of difficult. I just learned today how to do it. XDD

When the '2' is about to go, and turn into a '1', hold 'A'.
