    Its because if you sit / stand or are in a position that cuts off the blood flow or only lets a tiny amount through that results in pins n needles

    So then when you get it you just move your body part with p+n around alot to get the blood flowing

    If you hit the area repeatedly (slapping it?), they'll go away.

    If they are recurrent in a specific area of your body then you should probably see a doctor about them. You could have circulation problems or a trapped nerve which needs sorting out.
