It's not a job, it's volunteer, like Dior has stated, we don't get payed so it cannot be called a "Job"'.Originally Posted by KickerFliper

We're on ALOT of time, when we can be out with mates, doing more constructive stuff, instead we wish to help people we do not evan KNOW and help keep the safe.
You say on your first post that there isn't enough moderators, then you evade the forum filter.. cause more work for us? Right.. :|.Originally Posted by Kickfliper

Oh and Track, your sigs wrong, :Jin: Passed his trial on that date, didnt get one.
Occasionally visit and have a nose.
I believe that there is more than enough moderators to contend with the immature spamming that occasionally happens on the forums and they do a great job. As well as the administration team do a great job by picking them. Just ask yourself would you give up your day and attempt to make Habbox Forum a better place for people to visit by editing peoples post whom can't follow a simple set of rules. Most of you would just like this for the 'respect' or perhaps even the powers of moderating.
The Super Moderators do a great job and don't forget that they all have other jobs in Habbox especially Eckuii and they will also probably do a lot of work behind the scenes of Habbox. You say that the moderators are lazy or inactive I have reported quite a few incidents which have needed quick attention to an online moderator and in all incidents within 10 minutes my PM has been answered and the incident sorted so I don't see how they're lazy. If anyone is lazy it is people who just spam a forum without thinking before they post. There is a Spam forum which is used for that as long as it is in the rules of Habbox and Habbo Hotel but still you get people showing explicit content from rude pictures to abusive words yet the moderators 99% of the time seem to get the job sorted.
Before I get the immature people saying I am a suck-up then they should read some of the posts I have made in this forum. I just try and be unbiased and remain on no side towards the immatureness of some people. The people who make this forum hard for the Moderation team really should be grateful that this forum is here because it isn't actually free to run such a huge forum with a database of thousands of members.
Thats my two cents on this issue.

We cant all go on holiday at the same timeOriginally Posted by KickerFliper
But thats the problem, you should have a system like most forums, set s timetable for moderators and Super Mods.
What if lots of you are on Holiday, then its an easy target.. Also, i'd like to see Seacats face when he is 'drawing up a timetable' I dont need a timetable. I have many jobs on Habbox, me been on a timetable would mean me doing no Moderators work, because I am not on the router. I would be concentrating on my other jobs. So when people actually PM'd me asking me to do stuff, I couldnt do it
. I dont think many forums users would be pleased with this method. Also, what if they are away? Then we have a problem with the router because it will be all messed up and some Moderators would feel like they dont want to because its not their duty to Moderate at that time.
You do not see what goes on in the Forum Moderators forum. There is a thread, REPORT HERE IF A SUPER MODERATORS NEEDS TO LOOK INTO ANYTHING. nvrskp4 and I then look at that thread, we change signatures, avatars e.t.c. We assign MODERATORS to do the Spam section. We dont 'show off' our powers, we use them when we need to. If you feel a Moderator is using their powers at a wrong time please contact Seacat or Baving .Originally Posted by KickerFliper

They should try actually working to make this place cleaner, rather than post junk like 'O rly' in the 'O rly' Official thread -.-
I dont think so, maybe some Moderators would abuse powers to change Signatures to say sommat like: Im cool - (Moderators name). That would be pathetic.Originally Posted by Erosions
It's ok, but I think Mods should be able to remove signature images and avatars.
Its not a JOB, I dont see it as a JOB. I dont get payed (Although that would be niceOriginally Posted by KickerFliper

I can handle the pressure, as can many Moderators. Time off social lifes? What would you do when your older? Not socialise? Sit behind that desk 24/7. No, I dont think Moderators wish to give up that amount of time to remove images.

Hey.
Listen, one of the things you guys really have to remember is that we are VOLUNTEERS as has been stated many times. We devote an enormous amount of time as it is and just as you don't see us working our tails off does not mean that we aren't working (our tails off). No offense but I'm not sure you guys understand how hard the job is.
Ok listen, for a normal moderator, who has maybe 3 forums, lets say 1 active forum and 2 inactive forums (that's being very generous, there aren't that many moderators who have that if any.) For that moderator to check through his active forum and look through every one of the posts takes 20 minutes. If you moderate Discuss Anything or Habbo UK News and Rumours, each of those can take you 30-40 minutes. I should know, I used to mod them. I also happen to know that sometimes your job gets monotonous. You have to go through sometimes 10-20 page threads about subjects you really don't care about. Also, for us Super Moderators, to do a ban, just a plain old measly ban, can take 5-10 minutes. We have to find the user, find their offenses, then fill out a long and tedious ban report with various information and cite numerous pieces of evidence of the member's rulebreaking. Only then can we hit the ban button.
You guys say that we aren't on enough, quite frankly we are on quite a bit, just to do the required amount of work is quite a bit. However most moderators go above and beyond, I know in many instances moderators have stayed on for hours, sometimes into the early hours of the morning, one even stayed till 5 AM, JUST to sort out 1 spammer. Of course this was before SMods and all and we had like 3 admins back then, Sierk, DJ, and Proper. Maybe Jack
Also, now away from the time issue, what about the quality of our work? Moderators make many edits every day. You wanna see how much a moderator has done? Click on search, then advanced search. Put the moderators name in the search box on the left (search entire post for or whatever) and select sort results by posts. Then click the search button. Most of the results will be posts with something like Edited By BlahBlah (Forum Moderator): Please don't blah blah and blah. tagged onto the bottom. Some moderators don't always have many rulebreakers each day but still, they do work. I personally devote alot of time just to my jobs. I don't post in the normal forums very much, 1 or 2 posts a day, maybe 1 or 2 a week.
Now there are some of you who question the work of moderators. Well there's alot to prove you wrong just up there. Also, moderators have PMs to deal with and issues from members. Although I'm not popular enough to be PMd that frequently I do get some PMs. I usually turn around and sort it within 1-2 minutes and reply to that message if I'm online. Of course sometimes I leave Habbox on and do something else on a different site so sometimes it takes me a bit and I explain that. We do all work very hard though, and I know that people tend to do this alot which gets really annoying.
What if lots of us are on holiday? Well I hate going places so I normally don't and the chances that me and Eckuii will go on holiday at the same time are slim, the chance that all the admins and smods will go on holiday at the same time is slimmer still. A timetable. A sytem like most forums... Do most forums really use timetables? Anyway, the issue with this, what if a moderator misses his timetable? Then we're left "vulnerable". Here I have never come online and not seen a fellow (not counting me) moderator on. Very rarely have I seen no red names on the list and when I had it was back when there were few admins and no such thing as Super Moderators.
Those of you suggesting more Super Moderators and more powers for normal moderators, consider this: The more people you give powers to, the more vulnerable you are, and the greater chance that you will get hacked. Also, not all of our moderators are always completely uncorrupt, so they have to have limitations. Editing sigs and avatars gets people into a tizzy anyway, having loads do it would cause a bigger tizzy. Also, SMods are worked out, as has been stated before, Eckuii usually is on most of the day and I most of the (UK) night. Might there be an hour or 2 hour gap somewhere at some day? Well yeah maybe very rarely, but you'd be pretty sad to time when gaps are and get up at odd times just to spam a forum -.-
Just the big points I want to make. Just because you don't SEE us working doesn't mean we aren't. I know a few moderators who go on invisible mode 24/7. Also, THIS IS NOT OUR JOB! No matter how many times we say it, people don't seem to understand. It's like being in a mafia and having people tell you that you need to do raids more or whatever the heck mafias do. I may have missed some points but oh well. That's just my stance on the whole thing.
It costs nothing to be a good friend.

I also use the account nvrspk on other computers.

Whenever I am away most of the time, Seacat is away. This is due to us been brothers, I dont see a MASSIVE problem with this due to the fact there is about 4 other admins and 1 other Super Moderator to do things.

I never said you work for them, i simply said you joined on there forum making rude posts about Habbox saying they would never find out who you were, i got someone to get your IP of their forum and then traced it on here, you then thought tasha told me your IP so she got annoyed and had a go at me, which means it must of been you otherwise how would of she known? And i will stick to you making those posts on that forum foreverOriginally Posted by KickerFliper
