    Default Need layout slicing/coding

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would lice a layout for me ready for dreamweaver. I have the layout ready to send.
It needs to have expanding tablels (where the layout stretches when more content is added)

If anyone can do this for me let me know.

    Thanks

You probably wont get it sliced and coded for free. If you didnt need expandable tables I could do it lol. But i dont have a clue about expandables...

    Hey,

I think you're a bit confused, if you slice a layout you're cutting the site up into images, ready for you to code, normally you would only slice the main content box's or it would make the site slower.

Do you mean, slice then send you the slice dlyout ready for you to code in dreamwaver?

Edit: why do people keep saying expanding tables, ALL tables expand if you code in tables you've coded expandable tables it makes no utter difference.

If you have dreamweaver you possibly have Fireworks? - If you do use that slice tool and export only the images. Do not use the Auto generated HTML and then in dreamweaver just code the slices.

You don't understand still slicing doesn't determine whether it expands or not that's the coding, the coding tells the layout what to do if you slice the layout, it only 'cuts' up if you will the layout into images so preferably you only need to slice the main content boxes and where you are going to add text or otherwise it'll decrease your sites loading time big time.

Once you've sliced save it as a .html open it in dreamwaver and code it to what you like, aslong as you don't set it to iframes in drewamever it should be coded in tables and let me say again tables and expanding tables our exactly the same thing.

DMB It doesn't matter what the layout looks like really.
