its not a glitch its a manipulation of the jagex macromedia sun programing i posted about this awhile back. in a trade or in this case a stake your opponent or the person you are trading can put the item in the tradebox then unplug their internet and remove it quickly and plugging it back in again to make a temporary duplicate of the item tricking the macromedia sun program to thinking it is still in the trade box as it appears on your screen as soon as the transaction is completed the item is removed from your pack so ye sorry to hear not really anything you could do to prevent this
