    Im just wondering but how do you install cpanel onto a server?
    or does it have to be your own?

    Yes because when you install it, it whipes all the apache, bind dns, etc. configuration files and installs them again ready to use with cPanel.

    if you couldnt see it and it was in a datacenter but u had Root access throught the internet i take it you couldnt install it because it whipes apache and everything

    What Linux OS does it work best on ?

    Because i have a spare computer and alot of money. I was thinking of buying and installing it.
