I Do remember one season when they was at the top with the big guns. ( Man U Arsenal at the time ). At that time thats where i began to notice how great shay given was. Without shay given at that time they would of finished about 7th, 8th. And if you wondering who i support, I support Birmingham City ;D. You can rub the relegation in my face if you want ;D

1) Cech (chelsea)
2) Van Der Sar (man u)
3) Reina (liverpool)
4) Robinson (spurs)
5) Given (newcastle)
6) Lehamnn (arsenal)
7) Jaaskelainen (bolton)
8) Freidel (blackburn)
9) Niemi (fulham)
10) Sorensen (aston villa)

I thought this thread was about the goalkeepers in the Premiership not the other Footballing leagues around the world.

On the matter of Shay Given, I think hes a great keeper, under the circumstances with Newcastles rubbish defence, hes exellent.

Peter Cech, hes made mistakes during the back end of this season. Hes an excellent goalkeeper, the worlds best, but what do you expect with the worlds best players infront of him, and the one of the worlds richest men as Chairman?

Paul Robsinon, hes the best for England, no doubt. Some saves he has pulled off this season have been world class. He will do brilliant in the world Cup, he controls his defence and keeps them in control at Tottenham, im sure he can continue this in the World Cup as Englands number 1.

David James, hes the Second choice Goalkeeper for England, personally, I wouldnt have him. He pannics too much when there is a corner or a cross. He doesnt come out and collect the ball, he lets his defence do the hard work. He doesnt order his defence on what to do. I personally dont like him, and I think if he gets a game in the world cup, he will mess it up for England.
