My parents have a Chrysler Voyager and I can assure you, they do not break down easily and are not costly for repairs anyway. My parents have had the current one for 4 years and the only actual problem we have ever had is that the automatic doors don't work sometimes. So there is no problem with them as bad as you said...

Anyway, my car (as I am learning ) is a Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec.

My parents had one, it was like a 97 Chrysler Town&Country, and she had it for 2 years and at like 65,000km the transmission blew and needed a new one. SO my parents had to put a $2500 transmision in (because the warrenty expired at 60,000km) and the van was only 2 years old, THEN the A/C compresser broke and that was another $700. Then it was bye bye town&county, hello honda =)
