Im a christian, but i dont know if i believe in God/Jesus.. or even heaven and hell.

Im talking about the cristan bible here, as was obvios via the context, It was written a few 100 years after the deiples had dided for the new testiment, by one guy called paul. The old one was a collection of diffent books which told entirly diffent storyes which were combined in to one, for use a proprganda a few 1000 years back

I dont know what youre talking about. The New Testament in the Bible was written by Mathew, Mark, Luke & John who were deciples during the life of Jesus. None of it was written after this as it started to go round the world a few years after Jesus died.

Yea, so the church would have you belive, unlikly they dont get to write history, and its well documented the bible was written 100s of years after the supposed events happened, the storys had supposeldy been passed by word of mouth up to that point. Paul wrote em all down, He shaired his name with a deciple as well, so dont confuse em..

I don't know. I was Christened and my mum believes in god but doesn't go to church on nefin. Sometimes i have prayed but only v.v.v.v.v occasionaly. so i dnt believe, i only pray if something is bad.

i dnt believe in nefin bcauz i like evidence and proof to back up a theory. And there are so many religions and theories, which do you trust? i believe something scientifical happened which caused the start of earth but then i'm not sure.

im sorry about your family, but in responce to the other comments.

1) Im saying the bible is obsoleate, not god. The bible says those things, the bible was written by man. They can be despoven, hence justifeing the clame its obsoate. also Water isnt a particaly good meitifor for blue "/

2) Higher power, and the classic "cristan" consept of god aint the same thing.

3) Einstine isnt one of the greatest minds in the word, He is one of the Key people, he made many imporant break threws, but is IQ was just above 160, which makes him a genius yes, but not "the greatest mind" "/

I know that the bible was created by man but I agree that some parts of it must be flawed as it's just like a game of chineese whispers but to be honest you can only make a certain amount of mistakes, otherwise the bible would just be a base of lies, but higher powers that be are not human and have the influence over certain things making them "godly".

I agree Einstein wasn't the greatest minds in the world but he influenced a hell of alot of things and maybe wasn't the greatest intelect but was probably one of the wisest people out.

Ill go through everything you said with the Islamic scriptures which will explain things toy uo in a Muslim point of view.

God makes himself clear through rules. If there's no rules, Allah doesnt exist.

Islam states that Christianity is wrong because Christians accept Jesus as the Son of God although he was just a prophet.
Islam states that the rules of Islam are the rules of God so Jewish teaching is wrong in the fact that they can disobey God after taking alcohol and shifting the blame [There are no excuses for disobeying God in Islam]

Most religions that follow 1 God believe that God in himself is a messenger and sends himself in a human form. Mohammed was a man who was living as a God-like messenger on Earth to relate to people.
Christians believe that Jesus was God in a human form like his "son".

Muslims believe that Jesus was sent to bring more messenges and to "update" Islam.

Allah cares if people dont live by his rules. He tells good Muslims to accept other religions but not to except the people who worship them to be in the afterlife.

There is no proof other than word of mouth that god sends himself down in human form. Also, my question about openness isnt about how god is in his/her words. I mean why can't he/she show him/herself? Why the secrecy? Im sure that no one can imagine a world where god can talk to anyone or send a message worldwide, however if there is a god, why can't he/she? There are so many religions, why didnt god send the same message to everyone?

Thats why I have trouble believing-- if there really is a universal god, why couldnt he send the same message to all people?
