Doesnt mean anything charlie, howd u think people who do it for a living aresogreat today? Because they experienced it, they learnt it so how can u say something to stop themdoing so?

@ Mentor, if you read all my posts properly, im cleary stating of what i stated that they are related to webdesign when first you said it isnt needed in webdesign, true but you can still post about it asd its a feature in web design as layouts is,

@ Track, i think carl hasnt realised that aspect yet as hes concentrating on 'coding', i love thybag too but mentor realise this, whether you like it or not templates are part of web design/.

i had 2 hours sleep last night, and not much more the previos one, Im not at my most alert.
Alot of this has decened in to issues complaty unrealted to what im trying to say, and in to the nitty gritty crap no one actaly gives a **** about.

We have to Forums for this.

Web Design, is for help with web design
Show Off Your Website Here - is for showing off sites you've made.

An image of finished site, Belonds in the Show off section. Thats the section you post in, to show somthing off, AND get constructive critisim on it.

that was my primary point. Since then the webdesign forum can actaly be used for helping people once more.

We ok this far? What webdesign actaly is has been debated by webmaster and designers for years, and hasnt come to any clear conclusions. Where not gona do any better.

I code, because im good at that, and i Suck at graphics, and i do mean realy suck. Hence why my sites graphics suck.

Thats what i agree on, but i didntlike how at first u made layouts not in web design, also i talked about markerting and seo to show u there part of web design like layouts are.

    Design

    SEO

So how can u dictate what goes on in here?
Sygon I have to say your wrong actually.

    Web Marketing

This includes the SEO type work as well as PPC and free advertisements and any other way to get your SERP's up and get a above P4 Page Rank SEO isn't just about that though and neither is marketing there is a huge marketing section on http://v7n.com/forums ask them what web marketing is and they will tell you what it's all about it has nothing to do with the design, you could advertise a ****** .tk site well enough without any design basis.

If you want actual website design it includes the basis of Design which isn't important and the implementation of code and web standards as well as accessability and usability.

Web development is the one in general and I have to say no-one on this forum is a good web developer, nor a good web designer as I don't know anyone who can sufficiantly put code and design together apart from perhaps Carl and Josh, Charlies good but I think he's left.

The Web design section was so much better when people who had a passion for un-habbo related issues were on here like Carl, Josh, James, Mike, Charlie and many others who actually new how to write a valid tag of HTML and now what the **** Notepad was instead of Dreamweaver.

I don't really care about the pointless threads saying 'check this layout it's cool' I would love to see someone on this forum get their layout onto a proper design site for example boxed art or get reviewed by people who will not be nice and will be constructivly critical. You all need to take a reality check and chill the **** out it'll never happen with your attitude towards everything.

Carl I agree with the thread and I needed to blow off some steam

I have missed out most of this argument/debation what ever you will like to call it (Jargon in my terms) but nevertheless, I do agree with Carl in a way, posting images is fine to an extent, but if it is a finished version, then it should possibly go into the show off section. If the design itself is a working progress, however, I feel that it should go into the design section (as it is still in its design stage). As they have done previously, they should make a "Buy or sell" sub forum in this section as it too is taking over the web design, although the problem mainly for the selling may be down to Joe, Syi and myself.

I seen a part whilst I was skim reading was about the fact that the family feeling has gone - This is the reason why I normally stick to cheap fansites is because you feel welcomed and since all that has changed, you are critisized 90% on your work you produce, but, about 1/2 year(s) ago I would say that you would get comment you could improve upon and what comments you like, and if you didn't understand a question, a more knowledgable user would reply using quotations or snippets of the code that may help the person out.

I don't mean this in a hard nor hurtfull way to any member on this forum but most of people are like robots, someone posts a thread about selling an item, the usual reply would be "nice work" - end of discussion, yet a year or so ago a user would pick out bits they like as I have said previously.

Web master forums are currently like this forum, full of people that post the same thing over and over again, except they like to compete with each other, and when they think they have made a good piece of work, they try to put other people down and making the buyer or potential customer pick them over the others. This forum has lost its passion towards website design and is more so towards the "fame" and the popularity of the forum.

All my words are to conclude is; Take pride in your work.
