Right well, I want to play Need for Speed against my friend.
We both live in Telford, But he lives a couple of miles away, We both have wireless routers & Can connect to the internet.

So, How do i play against him without being near him?

you can only do it with certain games

    eg: twisted metal head on

you need a router to send the signal

on the game does it have

like a wi-fi option if it does just press that if not then you cant play online

not true. AT ALL. even if the game does not support wi-fi it is still posible to play him.

you both need to get xLink. basically when you get it you play each other in anygame over the internet. its confusing. but download it. search "xlink" on google and im sure you'll find it. It's downloadable and it's free. it was made so you could play online on games that don't enable wi-fi play.

hope this helps. OH YEAH you both need to have it to work.

    OR the obvious way...
Set your wi-fi setting and make sure they are turned ON.
    Then boot up the game.
(the next part my be hard to follow and could be hard to grasp)
    Then, click play online.
Then depending on the game different online set up screens will come up.
Find your friend on the online game room and BAM!!
You can now play eachother online!

If you have any other questions about it feel free to PM me.
