Nirvana used a Cello in one of Neverminds songs, and they also used an acordian and cello all throughout their Unplugged performance.
But on the otherhand i know some rap artists used instruments but not the recent ones.

Nice, another beatles song involved a Tabla, I think its a middle eastren instrument but it sounded really cool.

What, no one here likes electronica, even though it has the least amount of dumb songs? I say that because there are songs in other genres that I like, but the other genres are still filled with bad songs.

Wee, I'm on a posting streak!

Yeah, rock bands do play their own instruments, but so do some hip-hop bands.
And to be honest, I'm not bothered if they do or don't, because it's still the same music.
Basically, you like what you like, and I like what I like, so there's no point defending either genre, because everybody has different tastes in music.

Rap WILL BE DEAD in about 20-30 years. Dead as disco. You know why? Because rap is so easy to do, and so many people want to become rap artists today, and if there are that many rappers in the world, no one will like rap anymore.

THATS why talent is important when it comes to music
THATS why rap will be dead

    I rest my case. :eusa_hand

I hope you realise I don't like those rappers that everybody predicts rap fans like, such as eminem and 50 cent, there is so many rappers out there, who don't just sing about drugs, cash, and ye know.
There is lots of rock bands too, but that doesn't mean to say it will be 'dead'.

    Hey, disco isn't dead!

There are some people that actually spin Italo Disco at parties. I'm not kidding.
