they talked to both me and my parents.Originally Posted by :dallsgreen
Weird that they kicked you out, if they really had some concern about your health they should have talked to you or your parents not kicked you out of school, thats really dumb.

The Idiot's Guide To Gaining Weight...
- STOP posting threads such as this, ignore the fact that you're just slightly underweight and get on with normality;
- EAT food.
Follow that regime FOREVER and you'll never go thin again!
(Yes, I tell it VERY much how it is, it's a good job we don't all post about our problems on these forums...)

I don't see the problem that he was kicked out of school? I mean if he can't complete a week of school because he's too energyless/tired then whats the point in him going?
7 stone isn't that bad. I'm 17, and up until recently I weighed 7 stone. I'm 5ft 9". I've always been underweight, but my doctors have never shown any concern about it. I weigh 8.4 stone now.
If your school allowed you to have time off because of your health, I credit them. You can use the time to get the help you need, whether it's to do with gaining weight, or overcoming your depression. My 6th form college allowed me time off because I was diagnosed with M.E/CFS a few years back and had a bad remission before Christmas.
However, if they have refused you, then I do not credit them at all. They shouldn't disallow you the right to attend.
There's a difference between them allowing you to have time off, and refusing your attendance. Which situation are you in Tomo?
If you're allowed the time off, I suggest you take it and maybe speak to a teacher about your situation and come to some compramises about getting work sent home; and maybe say you'll attend when you're feeling up to it.
Good luck Tomo
I have M.E/CFS, I could barely complete a whole day of school when I was Tom's age.Originally Posted by hellybum

There's more to school than just lessons, and work that benefit you as a person, for example the social aspect of attending.
I always tried to attend where possible for that fact, and the fact every hour you spend in school is an hour less you have to catch up at a later date.
