Im a lad and I personally hate them my self, I hate the look of them on my wrist etc..
But hey everyone has them, just some aint as erm bold as others.

Meh reguardless of what they look like, there pretty practical, When you do lifty work, and are useing your musels they produce more heat (vains nearer the surface are used to loose heat more effectivly) and need more blood ( so vains fill up more). Without it, you wouldnt be able to do the work half as effectively "/

ps. Chances are the vains wouldnt look like the pic, hes over exspeting himself and bursing blood vesseles which is why theres the random sparadic pattern, normaly your have a clear patten leading up the arm, as opposed to them just looking random "/
