Silver/white might look better with a different colour "trimming" but I like that one better

white one ok but isnt very detailed like its just il blocks with yellow line basicly xP

I think the reason they look weird is because you've made the ground the same colour so they just blend in and look weird. I don't really like how they're really flat.

I like the hatch idea,
i better colour with better shading would make it 10/10 for me,
but as it is, 7/10
