spanish, much more common

I agree, and isn't some spanish similiar to french? So you don't have to learn completely from scratch.Originally Posted by Jack@

It's all really prefferencial choice, and as we have seen from a whole different range of user's we've had completely different answers with some loving french yet hating spanish, and vise versa.
Personally, I done French for 4 years then dropped it. In my first 2 years you don't really do anything exactly challenging or whatever, but I mainly enjoyed it in my 4th year and really started to love the subject. :]
If your good at it, you enjoy it more! ;p

Theres no point doing something you hate, i mean yh perhaps you don't know as much spanish, but french if french won't be enjoyable. I don't like french, so for gcse's i'm taking german & latin ( aswell as other subjects obviously)
I wanted to do spanish but it seems that im doing french now. I hate french but im good at it kind of.
Stupid teachers!
I used to do both and French is definately harder then Spanish, so it good decision.
