Firstly there are some premade avatars availible by clicking User cp at the top and then clicking on edit avatar then checking the box of the avatar you wish to use and then clicking on save changes.

Avatars can contain anything as long as they do not break the habbo way or habbox rules which can be view by clicking here.

The standard avatar size is 75 by 75 pixels or 23 kilobytes. Some users may have larger avartars because they pay a subscription charge for extra benefits also know as habbox vips. More info on vip is obtainable by clicking here.

First open up ms paint by clicking start > all programs > accessories > paint.
When paint opens click image > attributes change the width to 75 and the height to 75 make sure the units are pixels then click ok.

This is now the maximum size you may have as an avatar if you want to have your habbo image then go on to habbo face the screen and then press print screen found above the insert and delete button then open another paint document paste it in use the selection tool to select your habbo image copy it and paste it into the first paint document move it to fit the 75 by 75 area.

You can now shut down the second paint doucument, If you want your avatar to be transparent like mine "print screen" habbox forum where the location of the avatar will appear paste into a separate paint document like before select a tiny selection copy it and paste it into your avatar use the "colour picker" tool its located on the left of the magnifying glass click on the sample we took from habbox forums and then use the fill bucket to fill in the surrounding areas of your habbo image so you get some thing which looks like this:

The reason why the background is blue is because that was the old forum colour.

Now save this as a .png instead of a bitmap go to user cp on habbox forum > edit avatar scroll down to click on browse find the file you saved and click okay then save changes. Your avatar should have been uploaded.
