DVD RIPPING HELP??? +REP

i am making back ups of my dvd collection but i am haviing problems finding the right software. I used xilisoft dvd ripper platinum full version but when i copied the files to my ipod they kept freezing and were jerky can anyone help??? + rep to all good comments

Try highing the bit rate or the frames per second rate. If not play it a few times and it should work. If not STILL get a smaller or differant or compressed version.
