Did anyone buy a PS2 almost the day it came out. I did, and the DVD player and the game player STINK at reading even slightly scratched disks. Even some DVDs that have 1 or 2 minor scratches freeze continually even though in our DVD player they work.
Is there anything I can do to fix this (doubtful)? It's starting to annoy.

black dont play colored disk only play silver ones. thats why i bought the final fanstasy package awhile ago to go with the one i bought the day they came out.

Clean the laser? Mine didnt play DVD's or CD's and not all games. After cleaning it, it works perfectly.

The original ps2 had a messed up laser, you should clean it, or get a new one,I got my PS2 the day it came out and i got it modded when that started happening and now its fine.
Starting webdesign again.
