It's really weird you made this thread because all my Friends (no pun) love this show and i've never liked it and today i actually sat down and watched an episode and kindof enjoyed it.
Although i can't admit it to my friends coz they were right.

my favourite show ever, i've watched it since 1996 but only got addicted to it two years ago.

yeah it was inconsistent towards the end and yeah the writing got ridiculous after season six (season eight aside, that season saved the friends franchise but by ridiculous i mean ross playing the bagpipes at monica and chandler's wedding, like i know chandler is half-scottish but we only find out after seven years, the shark ****) but you have to admit, the first four seasons were generation defining and did so much for pop culture, they had fantastic writers, one of the most respected sitcom directors, james burrows and six talented actors with excellent comedic timing. season eight is the only other season from the later six seasons that i'd rate a 10/10.

it is quite overrated but friends did so much for pop culture, for example the way you speak now wouldn't exist if it weren't for friends.

even though i don't watch that much anymore and don't talk about anymore i still consider it my favourite show ever, and probably always will no matter how much i watch sex and the city now.
