Id say somehow seperate the links and the title from the main body
Put a dif bg instead of black maybe

First question I have to ask, would this be a flash layout as that would look brilliant as you could have the pages turning. I am not fond on the navigation as it's a bit too scruffy and I think it should be neat and function with regards to accessibility.

The crease in the middle to seperate the page doesn't look too realistic and I always thought it was a darker more stained colour. Also the edges of the pages look solid and they're not so the realism where you curve it slightly in the bottom left hand-corner just flies it out the window.

I think you need to re-think the header font and the other font as they look the same and books are nearly always clean texted.

Good luck. I give 5/10 for a clever idea but could do with a lot of tweaking.

Appart from the navigation it looks good.
Its just not a very original idea. Been done alot befor ex.

A good idea would be (if you could, or somebody else) to code it so the pages turned when you want the next page (in flash would be best).

Great idea though, it's really nice!
