Coming soon logo/splash page... thing!

Hey, my site has been used for nothing, and I'm making into a place with funny content, like jokes, videos, cartoon strips etc...

Well, I made a coming soon page, and I just wanted to see what you think.

Do you like the colours used, because I may use them colours on the actual site. Or should it be lighter?

Am I right in thinking that rthe uprise in splash page's is due to Joe saying to Oli ^ to do one in a thread then Oli made one now there starting to pop up evreywhere.. Anyway.. Too bright, I'd suggest blue or 'coffee colour's'
