Honors depends on what rank of person you kill.
If you kill a night capital for example, you get more honor then if you kill a grunt or private

I belive honor can be based on the amount of damage you do to the target aswell. So no good thinking you can just stand in av for a few weeks

The bonus honor will be calculated, it's just the honor from the HKs you won't get by standing there.
