How will you be paying for your first car?

Hai!

I was just reading the first thread about what you want as your first car and I was wondering how you have found the money for it?

With me, I have £1,200 of money that I have earnt working. I hope to earn another £1,000 at work. Then hopefully my grandad will give me a £1000 loan for the insurance. I want to spend about £1,500 on the car.

I'm thinking Renault Clio as first car, possibly a Peugot 206 or the smallest 306 - although I heard Peugots are rubbish to drive.

I'm due to get a few grand when i'm 18, some insurance thing my grandparents started a few months after i was born, plus whatever i save and i get from a job..

erm well ill have around £4000 in the bank when im 17 so ill use that and anything extra ill take out a loan.

I advise against taking out loans with banks, I advise immensely against it.

I think my parents will hopefully help me out with mine! Unless I start saying till April which is not likely.

My dad has always said he'd get me my first car.. Story has changed now he has 3 kids [soon to be 4]
