Is there anyway to group ALL the songs together, because the songs I download all go into their own sub-categories, and I want to know how to group them all together, like the previous WMPs.

Err, put them in a playlist, duh.

create a playlist or put all the music you want to listen to in one place high light and right click then add to playlist.

unsort them then you can click on the music on the side bar and move it to where you want it to go.

Whatever it groups them by, just find that "stat" thingy in the big line of stuff about each song and change it so they all have that same "stat".
