Sessions are sooo easy to use. Just stuff the cookies and to reigster sessions:

$usersname = $_POST[username];
$sql = ("SELECT * FROM `users` WHERE `username`='$usersname'");
session_register('username'); 
$_SESSION[username] = $sql[username];
?>

and change like the
if ($logged[username]){ or w.e they use to if ($_SESSION[username]){
