Using Mozilla Firefox by any chance?
Ive had this done to me quite a few times and it usually happens i load a page too fast or click another link before this page has finished loading and it gets ever so slightly confused about which image goes where despite all having the same function
Clear your cookies, cache and do a quick disk cleanup and everything should be fine

Edit: What an unusual coincidence, just as ive posted in here the winking smilie has turned into a red reputation point image but still says its the winking smilie
