Self-harming generally makes the problem worse actually.

Self harming is generally done as an emotive expression, and a way to release anger/emotions/upset that you can just as easily talk about.

Rather than hurting yourself to express these emotions, I suggest you do it in a much more productive way, such as sitting done with the people in question and getting a hold of your life and sorting out these problems in them.

Self harming is never the right answer.

I think it would be helpful to you by reading a wee guide I created on self harming a while ago that may come i beneficial at some point.

Okay, lets have a lovely lecture about selfharm!
    Lmao, or not!

Selfharm doesnt really help, it gets addictive and obsessive, seriously, if you're thinking of selfharming, dont, it can start for stess or whatever, but then soon, you'll be doing it for no reason at all, and take new forms of selfharm ie; overdosing, burning, pulling hair out, biting, ect.
It may help at first, but seriously, it doesnt, and dont you be saying 'oh how would you know' because i DO know.

I would just get a stress ball or punchbag and let of some steam by that. Or better yet, play full blast music and write down your feelings. Will help alot.
But dont start selfharm, it will make things so much more difficult.

Please dont use self-harm as a way to let ur stress out, Maybe talking to a close person like a older person family member, Teacher friends or even your gp about ur stress, normally self harm is a way of depression.

    Lets talk about self-harming.

    • It came become addictive ( I Didnt become addictive to it but i know a lot of people that have and did it cause i started to)
    • It can actually end up in ur death
    • It can Scar your skin
    • your do it for any reason you can think of
    • it will upset ur family members and friends if they find out

and to fire self harming is actually a cry for help apart from some emos that do it for no reason but to be scene.

Plese dont say how do you know Cause i do

Selfharmers are the most annoyingiest [no such word ] people ever. Why risk your life ? if your depressed talk to someone or something i just hate selfharmers basically your ungrateful for your life [what i think] if your gonna selfharm go over the top and actually die then everything will remember you as a suicidal prat

Self harm isn't the answer.. if your feeling really down, talk to someone or if that doesn't help, get some ice cubes and hold them tight, I heard that helps.

The only way I can possibly think it would help is by distracting you with pain. However, it might not even work in that very small way, because you'll associate the pain with how you're feeling. Seriously, it's not worth it, I don't think anything good will come of it.

I saw a program about teenagers who self harm and how they're allowed to do so by their parents/carers because they've become so addicted to it that they get panic attacks and get really ill if their blades and such are witheld from them. The show was trying to say that self harm does work, which I think was completely wrong because to me it just showed how addictive it can be, and how it can take over your life.

By all means, go do it if you really feel like it, but don't complain when your entire body is scarred because you took it too far.
