then an entire thread of arguing.

I'd never bash anyone for liking old Green Day, that was really good stuff, so much fun. In fact I'd never bash anyone for liking new Green Day, because the kids that do bash people for that tend to religiously listen to NOFX and Bad Religion et all who did the same thing.

Anyway, I was hoping more for like unknown bands, local to you maybe?

    The Boardlords
    Common Enemy
    The Dead Pets
    Rabies
    Steroid Freak Pus5y
    GBH
    TwoPointEight

    etc

Oh and Latterman, easily the best punk band around at the moment, so much fun, stick on a Latterman album and tell me that punk's dead.

    Anyway PLEASE DO NOT POST;

Billy Talent, Rise Against, Anti-Flag etc because tbh Cliff Richard is more punk than them all put together...

    Green Day lolz!!!

    Anyways I'm going by what my iTunes says here btw, don't flame me for incorrect genres;
Blink 182, (+44), Anti-Flag, Billy Talent, The Academy Is..., Metric, Aiden, A Thorn For Every Heart, All Time Low, Armor For Sleep, Motion City Soundtrack, New Found Glory, NoFX, Silverstein

Once again, iTunes has sorted them into Punk, not me

Yeah, not a single punk band there, iTunes is a bit rubbish sometimes.

    Left For Dead (horror punk)
    Balzac (Japanese horror punk)
Against Me! (but only acoustic EP and Reinventing Axl Rose, since signing to Fat Wreck [selling out] they've generally been very disappointing. and
Assorted Jelly Beans (fun ska/pop-punk band)

just look myspace for them i'm to lazy to post links.

    Umm, no punk there?
I know for a fact, Blink-182 are punk, heck most of my friend's bands/alot of popular bands were influenced by Blink. NoFX are also punk

    hmm...
    yeh.

heres a tip; don't believe everything MTV tells you.

I've got nothing against blink or NOFX, I listen to them a bit, but they're not punk. At all.

NOFX were only good when they had songs like New ****s tbh.

Blink are punk, granted they're not real, old school punk, but punk none the less

blink is a fun pop band

    pop-punk at the most

    but definately not punk.

anyway, i dont need this argument, the idea was for me to get new underground bands, not just mtv sellouts that everyones heard of =/

and im sorry, but i seem to listen to a lot more punk than you, i cant find any on your last.fm, so i might just be right.

granted they're not real, old school punk, but punk none the less
there are so many things wrong with that statement, why are you instigating the only 'real' punk is old? there's more punk bands now than ever.

Well why didn't you say in your first post:

    Anyone into it?
Anynoe up for recommending me stuff? I want some bands that are underground/not really that mainstream

Then we wouldn't be having this argument.
And Blink 182 aren't MTV sell outs
