Just started out, and I need a bass 'cause I can't often get on the schools one.
    So, any recommendations.
Preferably anything under £200, but of a high quality.

    I have a yahma bass
    Very light and strong

There good basses to start with

Its a good instrument to play (bass now) as it gives you rythym

Right now (as ive been playing for up to 3 years) im looking to get a better quality one, like a music man or a fender jazz

I've just started on bass and drums, I just picked up a bass whilst I was waiting to use the kit and ended up taking a liking to it. It's great for my timing.

I'll try and find a Yamaha, any idea of price range?

I play, and I'm pretty sure Fender Squier is a good place to start.

I've been playing for about a year now.

Umm if you want something cheap get a Squier jazz or precision

Or try pawn shops and just look around
