It sounds cruel, but its how it works. Yes, a nurse's job is more important than that of a soccer player's, but thats because more people go to football games and watch them on TV and contribute to them finnancially, than go to a hospital. They are two separate businesses. Dont make the mistake of thinking this is the owners and government's fault. This is EVERYONE'S fault. It's people, citizens, and football fans' faults. People, just like you, allow it to happen. If it werent for the people, there would be no football, players wouldnt be paid millions of dollars. It's the people's choice that football is more important to them than nurses.

it's just how things work. obviously football clubs get a lot more income than hospitals, therefore they can pay their staff more.

How many lives will a nurse save?
And how many lives will a footballer save?!

A Footballer doesn't excactly need to be talented, yet they get paid so much,

    it is unfair i think.
footballers entertain lives, yet doctors/nurses etc save them.
yet it's just one of those things at the end of the day.

I know how unfair it sounds, you can definatly argue that they dont deserve it (even though thats a moral judgement that no one really has). It all has to do with business, and since football is a multi billion dollar business, with very few people that work in it (comparitivly to the amount of money), they get paid so high. To make things fair would actually make things UNFAIR in a way. Sorry if it doesnt make much sense...

it's not about how many people footballers don't save, it's about how much money they make by NOT saving people.

well, they make money by doing something that DOESNT involve saving people -> they play football, 40000 or so people pay £40 each to watch them do it for 90 minutes, they get a nice slice of that money as wages.

    40000 people wouldn't pay £40 to watch a nurse bandage someone's wounds.
