quest help - dragon slayer

hey guys, i need some help with the dragon slayer quest.

what sort of stats would i need to be able to defeat it?

i currently have:

37 att
38 st
41 def
33 range
37 mage
43hp
31 prayer

whats the best way to kill it? i tried melee but it killed me

all usefull tips = + rep

I believe there are places to hide in the cage. If you really cant melee it with full rune and dragon shield, try maging it.

at the time i attempted it i was wearing full addy. i never knew there were places in the cage to hide, maybe i had better explore the cage a bit before going in for the kill

right now im in the middle of making some pearl tipped iron bolts and enchanting them which may give me a slight advantage seeing as the effect of the bolts is sea curse and covers the victim in water. im not sure if it will work on a dragon or not, but i hope it does, and it may help a lot seeing as the dragon breathes fire, and fire opponents are vulnerable

im just on my way to catherby to fish for some oysters to get the pearls =] so hopefully it shouldnt take too long

I dont know much about the pearl tips, besides that people sell their arrows to the chart ship crewmen. Buy some from them if fishing oysters is taking a long time

it is taking a while, but its gettin me fishing xp so its worth it i guess

besides, i can sell the fish to the fishing shop to get a bit of money =]
