    Default Romance Poem

A Slow Dance Under The Stars

    They felt so at home,

    In each others embrace,
    Nothing around them,
    But clouds and space.

    The stars looked down,
    On the loving pair,
    There isn’t a better night,
    They would wish to share.

    The rooftop is baron,
    Harsh ,bare and plain.
But a slow dance under the stars,
Is the thing that soothes the pain.

    There is no music,
No need for a dance floor,
    They just need each other,
    No need for much more.

    Down below their feet,
    Other couples trot,
    The spotlight on them,
    The egomaniacs spot.

    But our loving couple,
    They shunned the crowd,
    They shunned the music,
    Playing loud.

    They found the eyes,
    That would watch them sway,
    Were exactly the things,
    That drove them away.

    They wanted somewhere intimate,
    Somewhere of their own,
    Somewhere so peaceful,
Their true feelings could be shown.

Because in front of a crowd,
    They were truly performing,
    Showing performance feelings,
Half of what was truly forming.

    Truly forming,
    Deep inside,
    The true feelings,
    That they wanted to hide.

    Now was not a time,
    To be nervous and shy,
They needed to show their emotions,
    Under the clear night sky.

    Because this night,
    Was like a dream,
    Their only spotlight,
    Was the gleaming moonbeam.

As he stared into her eyes,
    He could see the moon,
    It’s heavenly glow,
    They wish to see soon.

    They both looked up,
    Saw the twinkling stars,
    Watched the Gleaming crystals,
    From a galaxy afar...

As they brought their heads down,
    They locked in a stare,
They could see each others souls,
    Stripped and left bare,

    They felt united as one,
    Their heartbeats had a miss,
As they brought their lips together,

    For that first tender kiss…

Sorry for it being rather, erm massive.
