depends how much you do it. if you do it over a long period of time then a gain if you do it only a couple of times it can go either way depending on your luck.

I've spent 2.5m on supplies now, and got 1.2 racks, 15k minds, 5k chaos, 2k bloods, and then barrows items (and a d med)

So ive spent 2.5m, and got nearly 5mill back. Still not used all supplies.

If you think about it, it's pretty much free mage exp.
When I go, I usually get back the deaths & minds back, plus other runes & boltracks.
As for prayer pots/sharks/super restores - I grow the herbs or collect them myself & fish the sharks/get them free from TT, so for me it costs nothing at all, everything I get back is pure profit.
