Middlesbrough school has been declared the best state school in England.
Macmillan Academy, in Middlesbrough, topped a new league table based on research formulated by top analysts comparing the performance of 1.2m pupils in English state schools.
The table looks at which schools achieve the best performance after taking into account the social make-up of their students.
While Macmillan came top, Bishopsgarth School in Stockton ranked 18th in the league which recognises for the first time the good teaching performance and management of schools in socially challenging areas.

My school is pretty much always in the Top 5/10 in the county (not country We arent that good). I like my school, and it performs well.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/h...l/332_4119.stm as you can see on the BBC School League Tables we tend to be pretty high acheivers, usually above the national average.

I dont mean to rub it in
