    I believe you mean a TLD (apposed to a 'tail)?

    Anyway, it's purely based on your web site. For example, if your website is an organisation (UK based) then you would use a .co.uk TLD. If you were an internationally based organisation then you would use .net and so forth.

    It depends what your website is about etc. but I like .net
