Might happen. Although in episode 9 its clear that kate only did what she did with Sawyer because he was going to die.

Just updated myself with LOST and watched episode 7,8 and 9. It is getting way too confusing.
The teenage girl, Alex, I thought she was that french womans daughter that was taken from the others because I can remember her saying something about her blue eyes. When you first see Alex, her eyes are really blue and you notice them straight away and Ben is her father =/MacBook White
