    Default Paranoid.

OK, I work with my Grandparent in a van. One day I was taking my grandparent to a airport in my Dad's car. And this lorry on my side came into the lane we were in, he scraped my side of the car and it was a massive lorry, scared the hell out of me.

Now, I seem to be really worried when someone pulls out infront of us or on my side, I have to close my eyes.

    Any help?

    Also.

I'm paranoid about always being vulnerable. If I see something I don't like, I go another way. It's annoying, always having to go the long way just to feel safe.

um maybe you need to talk to someone about your paranoia? it doesnt seem normal to close your eyes when on the road, could be kinda dangerous aswell ;l

i'd suggest facing your fears or at least talking them over with someone to get it off your chest

Think these feelings are pretty normal considering the shock you had. They will lessen as time goes on and you are brave to carry on driving after that
You will get your confidence back before too long I am sure.

Well like Catzsy said, I'd think it'd be pretty normal to have such fears and apprehension after such an incident so I wouldn't worry about it.

I think you just need to remind yourself that although it happened once before, it is very unlikely it's going to happen to you again. I understand it's hard, but you need to be confident within yourself and get yourself trusting again.

I think over time, just by going out in the car or whatever you will get used to it again and become comfortable, but if these feelings of apprehension abnd vulnerability continue - I'd maybe suggest speaking to someone about it and getting a bit of help mate.
