In answer to your question though, i don't really care ether way on marriage or engagement since i dont attribute any real value to it, other than in the legal document that comes with the final marriage ceremony. Bar that i see it as pretty much meaningless, since i dont believe you need a legal contract in order to show you love someone, or that they love you.
Also in the uk, there arnt actually any financial incentives to it ether, so it seems like a very costly waste of time to me. So im happy sticking with the default legal status for now.

Tbh i think its silly getting married at a young age, u aint properly experienced life yet. If it really is love and u r going to be together forever then why put a label on it.
It depends what sort of engagment your on about
You get people who just sort of say "I want to be with you forever" Which i guess is fair enough, your saying the person you are at that time wants to spend eternity with the person they are at that time but people change and that may not be the case in 3 or 30 years time.
and then theres others who turn round and say "Lets start planning the wedding right now" which is just bloody stupid, as what sort of a couple needs a piece of paper saying there a couple to work.

I think if you truely love someone at an early age there would be no problem to wait untill you're an older age to get married to them. I think the wedding would be better when you're older because financially wise you would be more comfortable and you would be able to afford a decent honeymoon etc when you're older. Not always the case.. but usually is.
