'positive' racism

okay right, y'know what i'm sick of these days. POSITIVE racism. At school, there was this kinda prize thing, only for non-white europeans. Wth is this achieving? It's almost saying white europeans are 'superior' to black people, chinese, asians for example. It also makes us as seem 'different' to one another and need different academic prizes. It disgusts me, seriously.

at my school some woman out of school tried to organise this meeting/group activity thing for the minorities of the school. she assumed that asians, blacks, chinese etc. were the minority. but when she came to my school to try and sort this out, she was very wrong as asians are the majority. and for the whole english lesson, my teacher and the class were discussing how stupid that idea was.

but yh, these kind of things do make everyone seem different and it doesnt help the fact.

Our school has a thing called "Black boys can!".
Basically a group at lunchtime where only black kids are allowed in to chat, have food, play games, etc. :rolleyes:

i bet you wouldnt be allowed to make a group called: "white boys can" where only white people can go.

What would they do if a white person walked in and recorded some supervisor saying 'sorry, you can't come in, you're white.'

One of the Asian teachers did an assembly on racism today giving examples e.t.c. but its a complicated issue cos from the way he was presenting it he seemed racist himself.

Its hard these days to classify what is racist because as soon as anyone says something bad they're called a racist. It's complicated aswell because the black community call each other names (I won't say them on here but it begins with N) but yet if a white person addressed a white person with that name they'd probably get beaten up or called racist..

Exactly - if anyone is being racist it's the blacks, they have their own little gropus and own little names for each other and if we enter then or call them the names they call each other we get into trouble. (I wouoldnt say batterd coz I'm too ard for tht sorta stuff :rolleyes

Also I hate to bring it back up but the massive Shilpa row aboit popadom etc, j.jackson called us white trash so why didnt he get into trouble :S
