Hey, erm ye it is serious if you goto www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com then you will see that it is true, I agree with some people it does taste nice, but the torture the chickens, imagine u were in a room stood on **** and poo upto ur knees, ur about 4 - 6 years old and know no one, u have a broken leg and no beak, ur being fed so many drugs that ur body grows so quick and fast that ur arms and legs break meaning that u cant move to eat or drink. Then if u do get through that, ur hung upside down and then someone slits ur throught, missing the two arteris(sp) that would kill u if they were cut. Then ur put into boiling hot water still alive then u will most probly die.
Now that aint nice is it?
they could treat them better but wont!

Why do you even care? You're not a chicken, you don't feel the pain. If you don't like slaughter then never move again, because whenever you do you inevitably kill a load of bacteria and small creatures that you can't even see.

also i know that they will feel pain at some point, but they can cut it down. If u looked at the content on that site then u will see that it doesnt need to be like that and it can be better, it used to be like that with Maccy d's. They dont do that anymore, Pizza hut that is owned by the same company as KFC dont do it.

You misunderstand. I was saying that you complaining about chickens is about as relevant as me complaining that you kill microbes whenever you take a step.

I'm an animal. I can feel pain. Dogs whimper when they are bumped (one example).

You need to realise there is a thing called a food chain. Chickens already outnumber humans and we need to control the population. We might as well eat them since they taste nice. It's human nature. I can assure you that when one chicken dies at least one more is born.

How can you justify that? From what ive read your one of the most self centred person ive ever met. Just because where not chickens doesnt means we have rights to cause animal cruelty, because in no way shape or form are we infeiroir to them.

And yes, this industry will never stop, people like meat and always will do so theyre will always be a market for that sort of stuff. Its just we have to cut down on the amount of meat we eat, and eat other things in its place so that are diet doesnt become unbalanced.

Ok I'll rephrase. Animals other than humans do not have the brain capacity to understand pain. What they feel is just that something unnatural is happening, and they react in an instinctual way. We do the same (until we learn to control ourselves better) but we understand that it's pain.

Yes I'm self-centred, and I don't think we have the right to cause pain to animals just because we're not chickens, I think that we as humans (and therefore natural predators) have the perfect and natural right to kill for food. Our diets are far more balanced in terms of meat intake now than, say, the Edwardian period, and in fact we're doing pretty well. There's no need to cut down.
