It seems more like a glitch where the room has stuck pieces of furni into your screen.. I don't know how it does it but you could class the furniture as 'freezing' while you're navigating, making it look like its in different rooms (including public rooms).

i've had something like this for there was lag awhile ago. when i went into a room and it took for ever to load i click cancel when loading and went to another of my rooms, when i did it loaded but loaded both rooms inside each other although they weren't the same shapes, also because theres a limit on how much furni you can have in a room it came up saying to much and it put handfuls in my hand. took ages to put back again once lag went.
