i got it in my eye! my mate saw one up the top of this huge tree in the pitch black and chucked it down it landed on my head and split in my eye, i looked craazy!

I don't know about the chewy part, but we blew some up once.

We used camera film canisters (The little black tube things), filled them with home-made black powder (Don't ask me how to make it.) and Wrapped them to four glow sticks.

Needless to say the stuff went everywhere.
